The DMI: Academic Design Management Conference (ADMC17) announces a call for papers. The conference hosts six conference tracks. Abstracts of 500 words are due Feb. 7, 2018.

The theme of the conference is “Next Wave” and addresses how new design knowledge is being created, the new forms of practice that is emerging, and how research and practice can stimulate and learn from each other.

The six tracks are:

• Design Research-Led Innovation — Design’s Role as a Catalyst for Innovation
• Business: Design and Design Management for Economic Growth — Design Research-led Work for Products, Services, Business Models
• Design, Leadership, and Organization Design — Design Research-led Work for Public Sector Services, Government, Education, and Transportation
• Public Sector & Transportation — Design Research-led Work for Public Sector Services, Government, Education, and Transportation
• Healthcare & Society — Design Research-led Work for Health, Wellness, Universal Design, Environment, and Sustainability
• Open Track for papers that do not directly fit themed tracks — e.g. Fashion, Architecture, Service Design, etc.
